Stodal syrup is a homoeopathic medicine recommended for treating cough.
 
Active Ingredients (100g): 
• ANTIMONIUM TARTARICUM 6CH (2g): Relieves loose, coarse and rattling cough. The cough is unceasing leading to exhaustion. Great rattling of mucus but very little expectoration. 
• BRYONIA 3CH (2g): Alleviates dry, hacking cough due to irritation in upper trachea. Worse at night.
• COCCUS CACTI 4CH (2g): Suffocative and spasmodic cough. Whooping cough with tough white mucus which strangles. Worse in morning. 
• DROSERA 3CH (2g) : Alleviates spasmodic, dry irritative cough, like whooping cough. Can scarcely breathe due to cough paroxysms following each other very rapidly. Tickling in larynx arouses cough.
• IPECA  3CH (2g): Suffocative, wheezing and incessant fit of coughing. Incessant and violent cough.
• RUMEX CRISPUS 6CH (2g): Cough is excited by continuous tickling in the throat pit. Dry and teasing cough preventing sleep.
• SPONGIA TOSTA 4CH (2g): Wheezing, barking, croupy cough. Great dryness of larynx with deep, dryness and wheezing cough. Hoarseness.
• STICTA PULMONARIA 3CH (3g): Dry and hawking cough preventing sleep at night. Loose in the morning.
How to Use

Dosage
For adults: Take 1 dose of 15 ml (use the measuring cup provided) 3 to 5 times per day.
For children: Take 1 dose of 5 ml (use the measuring cup provided) 3 to 5 times per day.

Length of Treatment
Do not take for more than 1 week. If symptoms do not improve after 3 days, consult your doctor.
 
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE OF STODAL
It is necessary to tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, might take or have recently taken any other medicine.

Stodal contains sucrose, therefore it is not recommended in people with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, or sucrase / isomaltose deficiency (rare hereditary diseases).

This should also be taken into account in the event of a low-sugar diet or diabetes. Stodal syrup also contains alcohol: 1.06% V / V ethanol its use should be avoided in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

A 5 ml dose contains 0.042 g of ethanol and 3.45 g of sucrose.
A 15 ml dose contains 0.125 g of ethanol and 10.3 g of sucrose.



This medicine also contains benzoic acid, at 16.2 mg per 15 ml and 5.4 mg per 5 ml, which corresponds to 1.08 mg / ml.
This acid may increase the risk of jaundice (yellowing of the eyes and skin) in newborns up to 4 weeks old.
